EARLY LEARNERS PROGRAM: AGES 0-3

Summer Reading Program runs June 1st- July 31st, 2023

Overview

The library wants to help you fill your young child’s summer with many opportunities for early literacy activities. This summer we invite you to read, make, and explore! You can read books to your child, explore with your child, and make time to have fun with your child. And don’t forget - there is also a summer reading program for adults!

Read 5 books to your child and they get a free book.

Read 5 books, Make time for 5 things, and Explore in 5 ways to earn a toy prize and a raffle ticket

Continue reading to your child throughout the summer to earn more badges and an entry into a raffle. All the books you read will also count toward our 1000 Books before Kindergarten program on Beanstack, so make sure you register for that program too!

Prizes

Young children will win a free book after reading and logging five books. After they complete the Read, Make, and Explore challenges they will win a toy trinket and automatically entered into the grand prize drawing. Prizes will be available for pickup June 19 to September 30, 2023

The raffle prize is a play campfire set and a stuffed animal/board book pair.

Logging and Badges

On Beanstack young children will earn badges for logging books and for completing Make and Explore activities. Click on the activity badges to see the activity choices. There is always a choice to write in your own idea. Completing one activity will earn you the badge.
